To Sweep the Earth as with a Flood - Elder David Bednar

I loved this talk and how it talks about technology in such a positive way. I sometimes feel that we have a love for technology but there is also a negative feeling towards technology and the negative ways that it affects the world today. When I was listening to this talk, all I could think about was how the gospel is expanding dramatically through the use of technology. I thought of General conference and how it is broadcasted around the world in a number of languages. I thought of how the Internet and social media sites are tweeting quotes and “memes” from general conference. All these things are expanding people’s knowledge of the gospel. When listening to this talk my mind started racing and I had a million thoughts of why technology is an amazing dispensation if used correctly. I thought of my uncle telling stories of his mission and how everything was paper work and now my cousin is serving a mission and we are able to email him weekly. Technology has made it more instant. I thought of how we can Skype and see his face on Christmas day. I feel this is truly a blessing to all the families in the world. I loved that Elder Bednar spoke about the specific social media sites and other technologies. I like that he had numbers to show us about the positive aspects of technology. I enjoyed listening to General Authority praise the use of technology and how they are encouraging us to share the gospel through our social media sites. I feel technology is from our generation and it is nice to feel like we are doing it right. I always think about to the use of technology years ago and thought, how couldn’t have lived without my iPhone. Technology is truly a blessing in our lives and how it is helping to share the gospel around the world in a matter of seconds. Technology is a marvelous invention and is hard to comprehend how it is working.

I want to treasure this memory forever

WOW! I haven't blogged in a while.

This is a picture of my adorable Gran and gorgeous niece Mailee! My gran hasn't been great with her health recently but I just love this picture. My gran is one of my most favourite people in my life. I love her dearly and love that she is becoming stronger every day. I can tell from this picture that she is bonding with Mailee and it makes me so happy. I want this to be a memory I remember forever. I love you Gran and Mailee

Schools Out for Summer!!!

This is the first week since January that I have not had to work on homework or think of assignments or exams. It has been so nice.

I have done a lot of sleeping over the weekend and still have not caught up on my sleep. I worked a full day at the help desk, let me tell you it was a struggle. I thought at one point I was going to fall asleep. I then took Hannah to the airport and returned to work for another painful 3 hours.

I decided after work I would go for a little tanning session. I know its not great for you but man the color I am these days is great. Plus its amazing that you can sleep on the bed. I came home made a salad and then put my pjs on and watched some tv.... to which I fell asleep. I must say I could get use to this no school business.

I just need to get through 2 weeks of work and then I am off to Scotland for a month...

Addictions =)

I have some issues with addictions... Man they are soo good.

I am addicted to:

Roseanne.. Yes, it is properly crap but i laugh my head off.

Friends: Oh my gosh, this is the best show in my life.

Oh yes and "The Band Perry"

Let me share you my new favourite song just now.

Always look on the bright side

The past few days I have been feeling really down and quite frustrated. I am tired from school and wish it could be the 13th April already. I want to just go to Scotland and spend time with my family and friends. I also just want to have a break from everything. Vegas could be the answer!! :)

Anyway, today I decided that I need to just lighting up and try and forget about everything thats going on and focus on school and having fun. The mood I am in is not delightful. I started thinking of funny things, as I just love to laugh my head off.

I have watched a few episodes of Friends. Oh my gosh its so funny and reminds me of my Golden Girls in Scotland and how we would watch these non stop. It also led me to think of each of them and some others....

Jade: Oh wow! Sometimes can be the most amazing person in the world. Is my Kim K lookalike and is just so sweet. I remember when we were driving home and we had subway and I took a corner too fast and well the subway was over Jade, my car and myself too funny.

Beth: Beth is now the yummy mummy of the group Having a little bun called Amalie. She is cool, funny and always good for a chat. I miss the days we would do lunch. :) The funniest times have to be when we were in a Chinese restaurant and I noticed a recipe book for asian food. I then thought I had never eating asian food before. Beth was soon to point out that I was in a chinese restaurant.

Sarah: Is the crazy one. Always all over the place and kinda a scatterbrain but I wouldn't change her for the world. Really funny without even knowing how funny she is being. I remember when Sarah took a 5 hour walk home from school as she just kept getting lost at the age of 15. lol.. Man I love that girl.

I then thought of a few moments here where I couldn't stop laughing.

Kelly: Wow! This girl is so freaking awesome. I dont think she knows how she has a great effect on me. She shows me what it is like to work for something you really want and that to complain a little is ok. She is always there when I need to talk and just has the sweetest heart. I think I have never laughed so much as to when Kelly fell coming from the stand in sacrament. Even though she was injured it was still funny. I also love that argyle is a running joke with us.

Lisa: Lisa has so many qualities I would love to have. She has this leadership skill which is wonderful. She is so sarcastic I love it. It reminds me of being home a little. I think when Lisa gets in a crazy mood and is constantly laughing it is funny for everyone around her. One sunday I have never seen someone make so much out of scrap paper and have the giggles so much.

Meghan: Meghan is like my sister. I would take her any day. You can talk to Meghan and she makes you feel calm. Her cooking skills are outstanding and going for dinner is always a treat. She has lived with me for 2 years and was the best thing in the world. There is actually 4 Clancy girls and Meghan is the fourth. You will always love Meghan.

David: David is my tongan friend. He is hilarious and always up for fun. He always making me laugh and i love our time spent in the car singing to Wicked and Adele!

Hannah: Is a crazy Scot I live with. She can makes me laugh and has a personality I have never seen before. She is always up to no good. Funny is sometimes not the word.

Rick: Rick is the brilliant. He is always there to sit and chat. Helps you with everything (homework, iRip, anything) and man gmail wouldnt be the same without him.

Jordan: Jordan is the person I look up to. She makes me laugh so much from the moment we hang out to the moment we stop. I know many people are jealous that they cant be her friend. I am just blessed that I am.

Then I have my sisters and mum and little Mailee. Wow! I am pretty lucky as they are just so wonderful. I cant wait for us to all hang out.

In all I have a lot going on in my life with school and finals.... but man I still manage to laugh with these people so much. Yet its going to be a LONG few weeks :)

Mailee Sienna Joss

Recently I became an auntie for the first time. When I first received a picture of the little princess from my sister, I thought she was ugly and looked chinese. (nothing against chinese). Anyway, the more pictures I receive of Mailee, the more I fall in love with her. She is just so perfect and beautiful and so tiny.

I now cant wait to get back to Scotland to spend time with this cute little girl.
